P S Raghu has received recognition from the National University of Singapore

Singapore :Former tourism police officer PS Raghu has received recognition from the National University of Singapore and an honorary doctorate from an American university. The award was given for his presentation on International Tourism Policing at a conference organized by the National University of Singapore. The findings suggest that coordination between tourism and policing plays an important role in the development of a country’s tourism sector. The report was prepared after studying the tourism of different countries.

Earlier, Raghu also received an Honorary Doctorate in the subject of International Tourism Policing from Washington University, accredited by the American Council for Trade and Development. During his tenure as a Police Officer in Kochi City, he has been personally congratulated by phone calls from Consul Generals of various countries for helping tourists.

In 2020, Raghu was suspended from service for not informing DCP Aishwarya Dongre of the inauguration of a coffee vending machine at the Kalamassery police station during the Covid era.
